The night sky over the island of Møn is sensational. On a clear night, you might count 5000 stars – while in Copenhagen it's only 100. The small Danish island is one of ten "Dark Sky Parks" in Europe and the first in Scandinavia. It received this status because of its inhabitants' careful handling of light pollution.
|In the old Smithy Signe Boe is exhibiting the site-specific installation Bird Calls, consisting of a narrative through sound, video and architectural elements, embedded in the building of the Smithy. The main work in the installation with the title Worthy Words for Walky Talks is a sound and video work. |Kunsthal 44Møen showed a solo exhibition by Berlin-based artist, Michael Sailstorfer i 2017. In the outdoor areas of the kunsthal, the work "Brenner" is still on show - originally a fuel tank from a fighter - a readymade - now working as an oven, reminding of a missile or even a bomb.
